TYLER, TX (KLTV) -

A man who was indicted in a crash that killed a Tyler woman in May has turned himself in to the Smith County Jail.

Online judicial records show James Arthur Fulton, 41, of Bulverde, was booked on Thursday on the charge of criminal negligent homicide for the May crash that killed Haile Beasley.

Records show Fulton also bonded out Thursday.

The Beasley family showed KLTV video of the crash that night showing Tyler police administering a field sobriety test and Fulton admitting to drinking two beers at a Tyler restaurant.

Tyler police determined Fulton was not intoxicated based on the tests and gave Fulton the option of voluntarily submitting a blood sample. Fulton said he did not wish to give one on the night of the crash.

Fulton's attorney said earlier in the week he and his client would be answering this charge in court.

Court records show Fulton has an arraignment scheduled for Jan. 20 and if a trial occurs, it is slated for March 2017.
