Holiday events rescheduled due to inclement weather

EAST TEXAS (KLTV) -

Inclement weather is forecast for the upcoming weekend, and several officials have informed us of changes to holiday events that had been planned for Dec. 3 and the following week.

Mount Pleasant:

The Christmas parade has been rescheduled to 6 p.m., Monday, Dec. 12.

White Oak:

Due to inclement weather, the White Oak Christmas parade has been canceled. There is no word on when the event will be rescheduled.

Van:

The Dec. 3 Lighting of the Van Oil Museum Oil Derrick program has been canceled due to impending bad weather. It has not been rescheduled

Whitehouse:

The Whitehouse Christmas in the Park and parade scheduled for Saturday has been canceled because of inclement weather. It will not be rescheduled.

Lindale:

The Lindale Christmas parade scheduled for Saturday has been canceled.

Marshall: 

The Marshall Wonderland of Lights Christmas Parade scheduled for Dec. 3 has been canceled.

Carthage:

The Carthage Christmas parade originally scheduled for Dec. 5 has been postponed until Dec. 6 at 7 p.m.

Gregg County: 

Christmas at the Courthouse has been rescheduled from December 3 to December 10, from 4-9 p.m. 

Gun Barrel City:

The Christmas parade has been rescheduled to 6 p.m., Dec. 10

Palestine:

Though Frost Fest and other events will go on as planned on Dec. 3,, the Christmas Parade of Lights has been postponed until December 10. The parade will begin at 7 p.m. on the 10th.

The parade route will be widened to accommodate the Wine Swirl, also scheduled to occur on Dec.10. Nate Smith said that although the parade has been postponed, Dec. 3 will still be packed with fun with Breakfast with Santa, Frost Fest, The Anderson County Community Chorus and the U.S. Air Force Band of the West, which will go on as planned.

Tyler:

Tyler YMCA's Ugly Christmas Sweater Run postponed until Jan. 7.

Jacksonville:

Little Town of Bethlehem of Cornerstone Baptist Church  has been rescheduled. Original dates were December 5-7. It will now take place on December 12, 13 and 14.

Nacogdoches:

The Nacogdoches Nine Flags Christmas Parade has been canceled. Alternative plans are to stage a Nacogdoches Christmas celebration with Santa on the Square and fireworks for all to enjoy. The Nacogdoches area United Way says for residence to please pay attention to the Parade Facebook page for more details.

Bullard

The Christmas Kickoff along with the parade has been rescheduled for Thursday, Dec. 8. The times will remain the same, with parade lineup at 5, and start time at 6.

Mineola:

The Mineola Christmas parade has been rescheduled for Saturday, December 10 at 5:30 p.m.

Malakoff:

The Malakoff Christmas parade scheduled for Dec. 10 has been postponed. It will be rescheduled.
