Surveillance video reveals details of $6,000 robbery at Lavanderia Express in Tyler


Tyler Police Department:

On 10/31/2016 at approximately 4:18 AM, Officers with the Tyler Police Department responded to a Robbery at Lavanderia Express 1203 S. Vine in Tyler. Upon arrival, police spoke to the cashier, who said that a black male walked into the business armed with a black handgun. He threatened the clerk with the weapon and ordered her to hand over the money that was in the cash register and safe. After the victim complied with the suspects demands, he fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction.

The suspect was described as a short black male, with a thin build. He was wearing a mask over his face, a black hoodie type jacket, and khaki pants. Officers searched the area for the suspect but were unable to locate anyone.

No one was injured during the robbery. This case is still under investigation and anyone with information is asked to call the Tyler Police Department as soon as possible.

According to preliminary police reports, a total of $6,000 were taken.
