Ore City Teen Laid To Rest

17-year-old Josh Petrea was laid to rest Friday in Ore City. Petrea was found stabbed to death over the weekend in a wooded area just north of White Oak.

Hundreds gathered for his funeral at the Oak Grove Baptist Church. School was let out early so that Josh's fellow classmates could attend the service. Many wore t-shirts with his picture on them, a symbol that Josh will never be forgotten.

Students say Josh made a huge impact on the entire community. "He was one of my closest friends. We really cared for him because he cared for everybody else. We're doing all right because we know he's in a better place. We know he's doing good," says Coleman Corneilson.

Josh was buried at a cemetery in Mount Pleasant. A fund has been set up at the Daingerfield National Bank, to help his family pay for the cost of the funeral.

18-year-old Terry Landry and three juveniles are all charged with his murder. Investigators say he was killed because of jealousy over a girl.
