Small Town Is Devastated Over Teen's Murder

The small town of Ore City is devastated over the murder of 17-year-old Josh Petrea. He was found stabbed to death Sunday night in a wooded area north of White Oak.

Investigators say Josh met a 16-year-old girl Saturday afternoon at Cici's Pizza in Longview. He later received a text message from her to meet her at a house. Investigators believe the girl's boyfriend found out, which led to the murder.

The 16-year-old girl, two other juveniles and 18-year-old Terry Landry are all charged with murder. Today, the feelings of grief and loss are evident through out the town of Ore City. Flags at the high school are at half staff. A canister sits at the desk in the front office of the school to collect money to help the family. At the Sonic, where Josh worked, the sign pays tribute to him and the time they had with him. It reads, "Thank you Lord for sharing Josh with us."

Josh's funeral is scheduled for Friday at 2:00 p.m. at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Ore City.
