Family members have identified a pedestrian who was struck during a Tuesday evening wreck.

Hiawetha Hudson, 54, of Tyler, was struck by a vehicle at 6:17 p.m. on Front Street, near the Cotton Belt building.

According to the Tyler Police Department, the man - who is visually-impaired - was jaywalking  from with south side of Front Street toward the building. The driver of a Toyota Tundra struck Hudson. The driver said the sun obstructed his vision and he did not see Hudson in the road.
