Dozens Staying In A Local Shelter After Evacuation

Dozens of residents are in a shelter tonight after they were evacuated from their homes.  They were told to leave after a gas pipeline exploded near a plant in Hallsville. The evacuees are all from the Cave Springs community. They're now living at the Marshall Civic Center. The Red Cross and the Salvation Army provided meals.

Marian Martinez lives a quarter mile from the plant. She says neighbors were coming out of their homes, terrified at what had happened. "The sights and sounds were people that were scared. Everybody was hollering. We'll always be wondering, is it going to happen again? Is it going to be worse next time?"
