New Task Force To Track Down Fugitives

A new way of tracking down fugitives and fighting crime.

Today, the U.S. Marshals Service announced a new Joint East Texas Fugitive Apprehension Task Force.

More than 70 law enforcement officers were sworn in this afternoon as Special Deputy U.S. Marshals. They can now arrest fugitives from other counties and states who escape to East Texas.

The U.S. Marshals Service plans to release information regularly to local agencies about their most-wanted fugitives.
