LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) - Longview Mayor Andy Mack discussed new city initiatives and a recently launched interactive crime map during his 2016 State of the City speech.
The annual event, which was held this year at the Pine Crest Country Club, allows officials to discuss progress and future plans for the city.
Mack discussed multiple organizations that are active in the community, including the Angel Network, Compassion Pride and Respect and My Brother's Keeper.
He also touched on the city's book club, new interactive crime map, police body cameras and bullet-proof vests for K-9 officers.
Mack said what makes Longview special is the people.
