Generations Of Mothers Honor Each Other

Generations of moms got together in Tyler this afternoon to honor each other this Mother's Day.

Park Place Rehabilitation and Nursing Center put on a Mother's Day tea for its residents and their loved ones. Today also happens to be the beginning of National Nursing Home Week.

One great-grandmother had three generations of family members visiting her today: her son and daughter-in-law, granddaughter, and great-grandson. They each had a message for their moms.

"We love her and we're here for her when she needs us," Henry Jones said of his 85-year-old mother, Florence. "Thank her for all the things that she did."

"I would like my mom to know how much she's been an influence on our lives. Mine and my siblings' and our children's lives," Robyn Devoure, a daughter and mother, said. "And she's just a very special person and always will be."

"I love Mama," Jake Devoure, 3, said of his mom, Robyn.
