Suspect Arrested In Longview Identity Theft

A case of identity theft has resulted in the recovery of thousands of dollars of illegally purchased merchandise in Gregg County. A sheriff's investigation has led to the recovery of approximately $50,000 worth of items including four four-wheelers and two trailers that were bought in Marshall. Also, a $25,000 ski boat and trailer were recovered, bought in Tyler. All of it charged to the identity of a Dallas area woman.

30-year-old Longview woman identified as Kendra Murphy has been arrested and charged with theft, and other theft by check warrants out of Van Zandt County by the Longview Police Department.

Police are now investigating a trail of bank accounts connected to Murphy.
