Saturday afternoon family and friends gathered at Atria Willow Park to celebrate more than century of memories.
Gladys received a very special letter to honor the milestone. President George W. Bush sent her a very happy birthday wish.
Gladys said she doesn't really know what the secret to long life is. She just takes it all in stride.
"Oh I don't know," Gladys said, "I've always eaten well and taken exercise and never. I don't know. I've just had a long happy life."
Gladys advices not to worry much in life. She said the best part of her birthday celebration was seeing her family.
