The man accused in the shooting of the Canton High School football coach, is still in jail with more than a million dollar bail.
Now, evidence against Jeffrey Doyle Robertson has been presented to a grand jury.
Robertson is accused of shooting coach Gary Joe Kinne at the school's field house earlier this month.
Van Zandt County District Attorney Leslie Dixon said the grand jury has recessed and will resume next week.
Robertson is charged with "assault with a deadly weapon against a public servant", along with "possession of a weapon in a prohibited place."
Coach Kinne was released from the hospital on Monday.
