Shots Fired At Longview Police During Hostage Standoff

Longview Police say a domestic disturbance turned into a hostage standoff Saturday night.  It happened in a house at 6th Street and Wilson.

Over the course of the nearly 2 hour ordeal, shots were fired in the direction of police.  KLTV 7 Reporter, Bob Hallmark captured the sound of the shots on videotape.

Fortunately, no one was hurt.  The hostage was released unharmed.  SWAT teams were able to distract the man by throwing a flash device in the home.  They pulled him out during the confusion.  He is okay too.  However, the flash device caused a fire in the home.  Firefighters knocked down the flames and the situation was under control shortly after 10 p.m.
