Longview Woman Gets Prison For Setting Fire

A Longview woman is headed to prison after being found guilty of aggravated assault. She was accused of setting fire to a home while her boyfriend was still inside last June.

Valerie George, 36, was arrested the night after fire units responded to a blaze at her home.  Investigators say George poured "gasoline" on her boyfriend 36-year-old, Jerry Johnson,  and then set the house ablaze.

Johnson was hospitalized in critical condition with second degree burns, but later recovered. George was sentenced in Longview court yesterday to 35 years in prison.
