New Search Equipment For Gregg County

A new piece of vital search equipment will help Gregg county sheriffs search for missing persons. It's called "project lifesaver" and will be used to help find people who wander away.  The bracelets have been credited for more than 1- thousand successful search and rescue missions.

The bracelet containing a 1- ounce battery- operated radio wrist transmitter. It emits an automatic tracking signal 24 hours a day.   Gregg County is the first county in Texas to join "project lifesaver."
