TYLER, TX (KLTV) -

One of golf's biggest names has pulled out of the Olympics. Rory McIlroy released a statement Wednesday saying he has decided not to compete at the summer games in Rio over concerns about the Zika virus.

Ranked number four in the world, McIlroy said that even though the risk of infection is considered low, its a risk he's not willing to take. Ireland will now be without its best player as the sport returns to the Olympics for the first time since 1904.
