Celtic Festival Held In Kilgore

Highland dancing, knights in armor, and the sound of the bagpipes are being experienced this weekend in an annual April festival in Kilgore. To the "shrill" of pipes, the 14th annual Kilgore Celtic festival opened today on the grounds of Kilgore intermediate school. The annual event sports descendants of the "clans of Scotland", and well as Celtic music and a history of the culture.

Traditional dance is featured in the 2 day event, along with the time honored tradional of the "calling of the clans". For those who attend each year, it's a culture that's very alluring. The Celtic Festival continues Sunday from 1 to 6 p-m.
