New Help For Sexual Assault Victims

Sexual assault survivors can now apply for protective orders without having to get an attorney.

"If they're not comfortable visiting the D.A.'s office visiting the women's center they're able to apply for this protective order on their own, take their life back, and start to truly help themselves," says Shannon Trest of the Women's Center of East Texas".

Victim's can get protective order packets at the Women's Center of East Texas, and other crisis centers.
