The date has been set. The Korean War monument on Tyler's downtown square will be unveiled soon. We got a sneak peek of the permanent display a couple of weeks ago, before it was covered. The black granite monument pays tribute to those involved in the so-called Forgotten War, 50 years ago.
You can join local veterans for the official unveiling, Saturday, May 7th at 11:00 a.m. Special guests include U.S. Congressman Louie Gohmert, State Senator Kevin Eltife and State Representative Leo Berman.
