Rudolph Gets Life Sentence

Eric Rudolph has been sentenced to life in prison for the 1998 abortion clinic bombing in Birmingham, Alabama. The sentence was handed down after he denounced abortion and told the court "deadly force is needed to stop it." Emily Lyons, a nurse hurt in the attack told Rudolph, "You did not shut the clinic down. You did not shut me down." Rudolph has also confessed to the to the bombing at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics that killed one woman and injured more than 100. He also admitted setting off bombs at an abortion clinic and gay bar in Atlanta in 1997
