The Baylor women's basketball team has won the NCAA Tournament with a convincing victory in the title game. Sophia Young scored 26 points and grabbed nine rebounds as the Lady Bears slammed Michigan State 84-62. Young contributed 18 points in the second half of Baylor's 20th consecutive victory. Steffanie Blackmon scored 14 of her 22 points after the break. Emily Niemann finished 5-for-7 from three-point range and scored 15 of her 19 points by halftime. The win makes Kim Mulkey-Robertson the first woman to win the NCAA Tournament as a player and a head coach. She took over the program following a 7-and-20 season five years ago. The Spartans trailed by 19 in the first half after falling behind by 16 in the second half of their semifinal victory over Tennessee. But the Spartans didn't have another comeback left in them. Lindsay Bowen had 20 points for Michigan State.
