Jaycees Hold Easter Egg Hunt For Disabled Children For 11th Year

The Easter Holiday has past, but a postponed celebration brought smiles and fun to local children. The Tyler Jaycees Easter Egg Hunt allowed more than 50 disabled or visually impaired youngsters to search for those brightly colored eggs.

The event was postponed for a week because of Spring Break and the bad weather. Most of the eggs were filled with candy treats.

For some of the children it's outdoor fun they look forward to all year.

"It was really awesome," said 8-year-old Kassandra Cardenas. "I liked hunting eggs and I'm really happy for the people that made the Easter egg hunt as us." This was the 11th year for the jaycees Easter egg hunt. Dozens of volunteers from local businesses were there to help guide the children through the park.
