TYLER, TX (KLTV) -

The Cowboys have not been big buyers up to this point on the first day of NFL free agency. And they have now seen their first player walk to another team. Quarterback Matt Cassel has signed a one-year deal with the Titans.

Dallas acquired Cassel in a trade from Buffalo last year after starter Tony Romo broke his left collarbone in Week 2. The Cowboys won only one of Cassel's seven starts. The Cowboys turned to fellow backup QB Kellen Moore to start the final two games of the 2015 season.
