The Texas Department of Public Safety says troopers assisted in the arrest of a suspect driving a stolen vehicle, evading arrest in Harrison County Wednesday.

Troopers say that just before 12 p.m., the Marshall Police Department was notified of a stolen truck-tractor. Celadon Trucking Services, Inc. was able to track the location of the truck to the city of Marshall.

Harrison County deputies located the truck and attempted to stop it, according to DPS. Troopers say that the driver chose to evade authorities, driving south on US 59, just north of the city of Marshall. According to DPS, troopers were able to deflate two of the truck's tires after several attempts.

With two tires deflated, troopers say the truck continued to drive through the city of Marshall, disregarding stop lights. Officers were able to disable the truck with their service weapons, south of Marshall on US 59.

The driver, identified as Oliver Jerone Branch, 55, of Las Vegas, Nevada, was taken into custody without incident. Branch was booked into the Harrison County Jail, charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and evading arrest.
