Hawkins High School Principal Placed On Administrative Leave

Following a complaint from a student's parents, the principal of Hawkins High School has been placed on administrative leave.

Superintendent David Rose said a female student's parents filed the complaint on Charles Leffall, claiming he said something taken as a threat.

Superintendent Rose said the alleged incident may be linked to student protests two weeks ago over changes in educational programs.

Rose could not say if the student was involved in those protests. Leffall will remain on leave until the district's investigation is complete.
