Spurs Win Battle Of Texas Against Rockets

Manu Ginobili scored 18 points and Brent Barry added 17 as San Antonio rallied to beat Houston 28-14.

Barry hit three three-pointers in a 21-2 spurt after the Rockets took a five-point lead. Tracy McGrady's final basket of the game put Houston ahead 60-55 with ten and a-half minutes left. Robert Horry finished with 12 points as the Spurs improved to 3-5 without Tim Duncan this season.

Tony Parker added eleven points, eight rebounds and six assists to the win. The Spurs shut down Yao Ming in the final quarter. Yao hit just one basket in the last period and finished with 18 points.

McGrady had a game-high 26 points.
