Cowboys Open Season Against Chargers

The last time the Cowboys played a regular season game in San Diego, they won a Super Bowl. Now, I don't know how that translates to the 2005 season, but that's exactly where the Cowboys open the coming season. NFL commissioner Paul Tagliabue announced the opening weekend televised games this week at the owners meetings in Hawaii. While the Patriots and Raiders will kick off the season on thursday, September 9, the Cowboys will travel to San Diego to take on the Chargers in a 3:30 game, Sunday, September 11. The rest of the NFL schedule should be released in about a week. By the way, the Cowboys won that game in 1995, 23-9.
