Husband Of Brain Damaged Woman 'Very Outraged" By Action Of President, Congress

Michael Schiavo says all Americans should be "very afraid" that Congress has gotten involved in the case of his brain-damaged wife Terri.

Taking the Senate's lead, the House early today passed a bill to let the woman's parents ask a federal judge to prolong her life by reinserting her feeding tube. President Bush signed the measure less than an hour later.

Schiavo accuses President Bush and lawmakers of "thumbing their noses at the Constitution."

Schiavo won a legal round in state court last week that allowed his wife's feeding tube to be removed. And he says he thinks the federal court will rule in his favor this time.
