Sulphur Springs man killed in overnight wreck

HOPKINS COUNTY, TX (KLTV) - A 35-year-old Sulphur Springs man died in a single-vehicle accident in Hopkins County.

Officials say the crash occurred in the overnight hours Tuesday, when Moises Galvan crashed on Hopkins County Road 3564 near FM 69. This is near the Precinct 3 barn.

According to Dave Kirkpatrick with East Texas Radio, the crash was discovered Wednesday morning by Commissioner Wade Bartley, who said he was on his way to work when he found Galvan about 20 feet from the BMW he was driving. Bartley called deputies, who said it appeared that the vehicle Galvan was driving left the roadway, went airborne, and hit some trees. He was pronounced dead at the scene by a Hopkins County Justice of the Peace, and his body was sent for an autopsy.

Galvan was a graduate of Sulphur Springs High School.
