Lt. Greg Haddix with the Gregg County Sheriff's Office says around 3 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, deputies were called to the 1100 block of Brown Street, north of Longview, where several vehicles and a home were discovered to have been broken into, and a van was missing. When deputies arrived to investigate, they were also called to a fire at a nearby house, which was a total loss by the time fire crews arrived.

After investigating the area, authorities found the van and arrested two people inside: Acles, and a juvenile. Both were taken into custody. Acles was released from jail Dec.14 on $50,000 bond.

The Gregg County Sheriff's Office is investigating the fire as an arson. Other details in the case are still under investigation.
