Jury Selection Begins For 2002 Kidnapping/Murder Case

The mastermind of a malicious kidnapping and murder is one step closer to standing trial. Jury selection begins tomorrow in the case of accused kidnapper and murderer, Desiree Dawn Lingo-Perkins. In 2002, the 36-year-old woman was charged with the capital murder of 18 year old Kyle McElroy of Troup. Perkins, was on the run for four years after the crime before being arrested on the Texas-Mexico border. She is now in the Cherokee County Jail in Rusk.
