Wednesday's Weather: Sunny skies return with highs in the upper 70s to low 80s

After all of the rain over the past weekend, all burn bans have been lifted for counties in East Texas.
We'll have a few days of sunshine across East Texas before our next chance for rain moves into the forecast.
After starting the morning with patchy fog (that will clear before 10 a.m.) we'll have sunny skies for our Wednesday afternoon with highs in the upper 70s to low 80s ahead of our next cold front. That front will push through East Texas throughout the day today, but with dry air over the region, it won't be our next rain maker. Our winds will shift this afternoon, out of the northwest, as that front pushes through.
We'll drop a few degrees behind that front on Thursday, but those sunny skies will stick around through then.
By Friday, an area of low pressure will start to make its way closer to us, from the west. This low, pulling moisture in from the Gulf, will bring our next chance for rain.
Showers will begin building into East Texas Friday night. Right now, models are showing that rain, if any, will be light for our Friday night football games. By Saturday, that chance for rain will increase, especially in the morning. By lunch time on Saturday, rain totals could hit up to 3" as rain builds in from the west. The chance for showers will continue through the rest of our Halloween and we'll have a few isolated showers linger through our Sunday as that low exits the region to the east.
Daylight Saving Time ends on Sunday morning at 2 a.m. We'll "Fall" back an hour, gaining an extra hour of sleep Saturday night.
Lows will be in the low to mid 60s this weekend with highs in the low to mid 70s.
Our skies will clear for the start of the next work week, warming our highs back into the upper 70s.
Have a great day!
