City of Tyler, City of Longview, and City of Lufkin:  Arrange free curbside pickup.
City of Nacogdoches:  Call the Public Works Department to arrange for pickup. The customer will be billed for the pickup, depending on the nature and size of the item(s) to be picked up.

Local landfills and incinerators:  Some free, some charge

Hazardous Waste

Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ):

1) Permanent drop-off sites:  The Nacogdoches landfill has a drop-off site for motor oil, oil filters, and oil containers, but no other types of hazardous waste are accepted. This drop-off site is available to any resident of Nacogdoches County.

2) Collection event - April 27, 2005, 8:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m., Texas Department of Transportation office, Carthage (including pesticides, herbicides, paint, aerosol cans, oil, oil filters, swimming pool chemicals, fluorescent bulbs; NO tires, explosives, ammunition, or fertilizer)
