The state of Texas has won the Governor's Cup Award for securing the most job creation announcements in the nation for 2004.
In the past year, 668 business expansion projects have called the Lone Star state home. Governor Rick Perry says they've created an economic climate that businesses just can't turn down.
"Today the Governor's Cup has come back home and it's come back to an appropriate home in Texas because we have pursued a path of limited government, fiscal restraint and made unprecedented investments in job creation," said Governor Perry at a press conference in Austin.
