Workover Rig Blows In Marshall

A 20-year-old man is killed in an oil rig accident this morning. Three others, also working on the rig, were seriously injured. Police and emergency crews were called to the blowout off of Highway 59, about five miles north of Marshall in Harrison County.

Investigators say the men were doing a process called fracing when back pressure blew pieces of heavy drill pipe in all directions.

OSHA is investigating the accident.
