Kids at John Tyler High School in Tyler were in the dark for about two and a half hours this morning. Power failed at the school.
TISD says fuses blew while thunderstorms moved through the area. Classes resumed at about 10:30 a.m. after power was restored, and about fifty seniors slated to re-take the TAKS standardized test went ahead with that as scheduled.
