Suspect in 'ninja robber' crimes arrested, will be extradited to Texas

The Gregg County Sheriff's Office confirms that one of the so-called "ninja robbers" is in custody in Gregg County.

Authorities confirm that Frank Bower, arrested in Florida in connection with home invasion robberies in that stat and Texas, was jailed in Gregg county from January to March of this year before being transferred back to Florida.

Authorities also confirmed that Johnathon Contreras, also suspected in the robberies, was arrested in Florida last month on home invasion charges and will be extradited to Texas.

Bower and Contreras are both suspects in home invasion robberies in Rusk and Gregg county in 2014.

Bower previously ran a ministry in Rusk County.

In August 2014, the Florida attorney general released 80 text messages between Bower, Contreras and Andres Perez. The messages showed how the men planned the robberies. Locations in Texas were mentioned in the messages.
