EAST TEXAS (KLTV) - The remnants of Bill continues to track off towards the east, but the outer bands could still bring us some rain throughout the morning.
Temperatures are mild, and it's feeling a bit humid, and looking into the next week, we are only going to continue to warm from there.
Your Friday forecast will call for a mix of sun and clouds, with about a 30% chance for showers and thundershowers. Highs will be in the upper 80s, but when you factor in the humidity, it could be feeling more like the mid 90s. Winds will be out of the southwest 5-10 mph.
Full sunshine will begin to work its way back into the forecast on Saturday and Sunday, but the heat returns as well. Father's Day should be a nice day with partly cloudy skies, and highs in the low 90s. Heat index values could approach 100 degrees, so if you're taking dad outdoors, make sure to bring plenty of water, or try to limit activities to early in the day.
Sunday is also the first day of summer, and our first week of the season will surely feel like summer. High temperatures will approach the low to mid 90s, but we'll keep mostly sunny skies throughout the beginning of next week.
Have a great Friday!
