Texas Tech stops in East Texas looking for more talent

LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) - Texas Tech head football coach Kliff Kingsbury is a big fan of East Texas football.  The Red Raiders coaching staff was looking for the next East Texas star on Tuesday at Longview High School.  The Red Raiders summer camp tour made a stop at Lobo Stadium.

Kingsbury told a large group of high school football players that East Texas was his favorite stop during summer camp season.  The area has been good to his roster, which will include several East Texas starters for the 2015 season.

"There's so many good players down here," said Kingsbury.  "They're so appreciative. They get well coached in the high schools and we have some really good ones playing for us. Pete Roberson (Longview), Patrick Mahomes (Whiteouse), Reginald Davis (Tenaha), Dylan Cantrell (Whitehouse), guys that have played a lot. We're going to continue to try and get players out of East Texas."
