TYLER, TX (KLTV) - The East Texas Pump Jacks added former TJC pitcher Jimmy Johnson to the roster on Monday.  The Palestine native pitched three innings in the Apaches World Series clinching win in North Carolina last week.  Now he gets to spend another two months playing in Tyler.

"The whole month of May we've (TJC) been on the road battling it out," said Johnson.  "We were fortunate to win it all. To bring it back to East Texas was pretty cool. I recently committed to Lamar University and they wanted me to play summer ball and I was hoping to stay closer to home. The Pump Jacks called me so I'm fortunate to be in East Texas playing with a team like the Pump Jacks.  My parents and friends will be able to come and watch. I'll be able to live at home all summer still so that will be pretty cool as well."

The Pump Jacks first home game is Thursday night.
