UT Tyler baseball drops opener, regional postponed

TYLER, TX (KLTV) - The UT Tyler baseball team dropped their NCAA West Regional opener on Wednesday afternoon at Irwin Field.  The Patriots could not take advantage of the home field, losing to La Verne (CA) 2-0.  The Patriots are now in the elimination bracket and will play again on Thursday.

The Linfield/Trinity and Millsaps/Whitworth games have been postponed until Thursday due to rain.  Linfield and Trinity will resume play Thursday at 10 a.m.

UT Tyler is expected to play sometime Thursday afternoon against the loser of the Linfield/Trinity game.
