It was all smiles Friday for a group of students in Tyler. More than 60 kids and their parents showed up at the St. Paul Children's Dental Clinic to get a free check-up.
Ten local dentists and three hygienist volunteered their time to help out. The dental care was provided as part of the "Give Kids a Smile Day" sponsored locally by the Smith County Dental Society.
It's the first time the program has been offered in East Texas. Those who took advantage of the program say it's a big help.
"I think it's good because not everybody has the ability to pay for everything they are doing here, I think it's good for the community," said Luis Vasquez, daughter received free care.
If your child missed out today, they can still get low cost and even free care. You can contact the St. Paul Children's Clinic at 903-526-4900.
