In State Of The Union Speech, Bush Will Get More Specific On Social Security

President Bush will get specific about Social Security in tonight's State of the Union address -- but not too specific.

Aides say he'll reveal more details of his plan for creating private retirement accounts. But he's not submitting a comprehensive program and will leave key details to Congress.

Press Secretary Scott McClellan says tonight's speech will supply the roadmap for pursuing the great goals Bush outlined in his inaugural speech two weeks ago.

On Iraq, he'll hail Sunday's election as a historic achievement. And aides say he'll talk about completing the mission there. But he won't supply any timetable for withdrawing U-S troops.

On Social Security, a senior official says Bush's speech will "advance the debate" and make clear he's ready to lead in order to "get it done."
