Kilgore Teen Murdered In Illinois

A 16-year-old girl from East Texas is brutally murdered in Illinois. Police believe classmates are responsible. Last night, Gary Gibson of Kilgore found out his granddaughter was the victim of a murder in Illinois.

"It's hard when you lose anyone, but when they're that young, it makes it a lot worse," says Adrianne's grandfather Gary Gibson.

Adrianne was reported missing on Friday when she failed to show up to work after school. Illinois authorities believe Adrianne was strangled and beaten in a car in broad daylight. They say her body was then burned, dismembered and dumped at a state park.

"I couldn't really believe it, that somebody could do something like that its hard to believe," says Adrianne's sister, Courtney Huffman.

"Takes a while for it to sink in, I can't imagine someone doing something this horrendous," says Gibson.

A classmate, 16-year-old Sarah Kolb, is charged with first degree murder in Adrianne's death. Also arrested, 17-year-old Cory Gregory is charged with two counts of first-degree murder and concealment of a homicidal death. Police told the family Gregory is a classmate as well. Meanwhile, her family in East Texas is hanging onto their memories of Adrianne.

"We used to have this big family, and now, I just feel like there's just a big space in it," says Courtney.

Police tell us there could be more arrests in this case. They also say they have witnesses to death threats made by Sarah Kolb to Adrianne Reynolds.

In the meantime, the Reynolds family is planning two memorial services; one in Illinois, and one in east Texas.
