TJC men knocked out of national tournament

The TJC Apaches national tournament run came to end Tuesday afternoon in Hutchinson, Kansas.  The Apaches led top seeded Connors State 40-38 in the second half, before giving up a 23-0 run.  Connors State would go on to win 78-62.

TJC had four players score in double figures, led by Darryl Stewart's 14 points.  The Apaches shot just 35 percent from the field.  TJC led 32-28 late in the first half, before Connors State scored 4 unanswered points to tie the game at halftime.

The Apaches finish the season 25-9, winning their first Region 14 Tournament championship since 1996.
