Monday's Weather: Patchy morning fog with partly cloudy afternoon. Highs in the mid 70s

EAST TEXAS (KLTV) - We'll have a foggy start to our Monday, with partly cloudy skies this afternoon.

Our Monday morning will start with patchy fog, reducing visibilities. Please be careful on your way to school and work this morning.

High pressure is building into the region, bringing partly cloudy skies and warming up our temperatures for the start of the week. Highs will warm into the mid 70s this afternoon, which is warmer than average for this time of the year. Our winds will be out of the southwest, pulling in that warmer air, around 5 mph.

Overnight, expect mostly cloudy skies with lows in the upper 50s to start our Tuesday.

By Tuesday, an area of low pressure, building in from the southwest, will bring more moisture into the region. That moisture, combined with a cold front moving into the region from the north, will bring another round of showers into East Texas Tuesday afternoon. That front will stall to our north, and we'll have showers through the Thursday as that low moves in. Ahead of the disturbance, highs will reach the upper 70s on Tuesday.

Highs will fall into the upper 60s through Thursday. We'll fall back into the low 60s Friday behind a cold front. Showers will return Friday through Saturday as that front moves into the region.

Have a wonderful day!
