Drop In Heart Disease Deaths Due To Advancements In Medicine

For the first time, cancer has surpassed heart disease as the top killer of Americans under 85. The drop in heart disease deaths is attributed to advancements in medicine like statins.  Statins lower cholesterol and your risk for a heart of attack or stroke. Doctors say they are saving lives every year.

Secondly, the advancement in medical treatments is improving. Cardiologist Dr. Tad Tollenson says things like stents have improved so much bypasses are hardly needed.
