There is still no cause of death released for the UT Longhorn band member who died hours before he was to perform in Thursday's inaugural parade.
Twenty-three year-old J.D. Davis was from Tyler. He attended Whitehouse High School.
He was found dead on the UT band's bus following a stop in D.C. Thursday.
J.D.'s sudden death is something friends and family are having a difficult time coming to terms with. They say he was a young man who loved God, and that's what's helping loved ones through this.
J.D.'s mother Linda Davis: "If I had any doubts that he was a Christian, I probably would be worried right now, but I am so positively sure, and that is what is keeping us going."
Friend David Sutton: "I don't know if you would ask 'Why [J.D. died.'] He would say that God has a reason for it, as unclear as that may be right now. It's for His glory."
Again, the cause of J.D's death has not been determined. He had a fever early last week, but wasn't diagnosed with any illness. Even Wednesday morning, he had complained of feeling tired.
