From ETMC Tyler

TYLER, TX (KLTV) - ETMC First Physicians is now offering an express clinic offering walk-in urgent care at ETMC South Broadway.

“Express clinic care means no appointments and no waiting behind patients with life-threatening emergencies,” said Dr. Steven Cooley, ETMC First Physician. “You can get fast service for minor injuries and illnesses such as broken bones, lacerations, urinary tract infections, rashes, fevers, coughs, colds, headache, sore throat, earache or flu-like symptoms.”

The express clinic is located at 6210 S. Broadway and will be open from 8 a.m.-6 p.m., Monday-Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Any patient with a need is welcome and you don't need to be established with an ETMC physician to seek treatment.

ETMC still offers a 24-hour emergency center and ETMC First Physicians Clinic at South Broadway.

“Patients still are encouraged to visit their regular physician, but if your physician is busy with scheduled appointments and can't see you for your urgent care, then you could seek treatment at our express clinic,” said Dr. Cooley.

Dr. Cooley will serve patients at this location. Dr. Cooley completed his doctor of medicine at Louisiana State University, an internship at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Washington D.C. and his residency in emergency medicine at Denver General Hospital. He practiced clinical emergency medicine at Lakeland Regional Medical Center in Florida and Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. For the past several years, Dr. Cooley has been a medical executive managing healthcare facilities.
